About the MOVIE and THE DIRECTOR:

From Director Love Jordina: “I originally conceived this film while walking over the Golden Gate Bridge. At that time I was depressed, after being rejected by someone I was really in love with. This longing can take you to the most insane of obsessions. We believe intensely about the idea, concept, and fantasy of somebody we create – the perfect ‘one’ in our head.”

WAVES is based on a true story.

“In my life, I have pretty much performed all jobs artistically related. I’ve been a painter, a dancer, a writer, a model, actress, choreographer, traveler, even a nurse. Now it’s time to achieve my goals as a director and make my own film. Being your own producer is the maximum expression of freedom. I never liked to be told what to do. That’s why I left family and school, in Spain, when I was 16 years age. I was a little town girl with a Universal vision for my future. Nobody can stop you but yourself. Since I left Spain 4 years ago to make true my dreams, nobody could stopped until now. I live a Road movie life in my motor home with my unconditionally loved three legged cat, Tricycle. My next project, RUNNING GIRL, will take me back to New Mexico.

“I have a particular vision which I want to manifest on the big screen. I didn’t need much of a budget, special effects or the killing of people with a bloody mess. I recreate mystery, horror and suspense with combined images, sound design and film segments. I basically can make an outstanding movie for under $10,000. WAVES proves this point, as it was made for only $5,000. Making a great film is not about a large budget, it’s about gifted talent and creativity. Once you have lots of money, you can lose your freshness and sharp thinking.

“Having Sarah Lynn Smith, international Top Model, as a muse and actress has been a benediction. Our closer relationship after meeting at Burning Man during summer 2009 has been built into a magnificent Artistic collaboration. Nobody excepting her, could have been Sarah on WAVES. I’m not lesbian, but during our filming, I totally fell for her.

“Jill Love is my alter ego. She’s the main actress in my movies. Having this separation between Director and Actress helps me to focus myself in one role and the other. It’s always challenging directing yourself. You never get to see what you perform until the scene is done. Jill love is that part in me that can transform herself into any different character. She’s a chameleon, or even like that kind of smart octopus that shape shifts and change color to scape from predators or get closer to its victim and then attack. Love Jordina takes care of everything behind the camera while Jill Love makes love with the camera”.

Love Jordina/Jill Love are two faces of the same coin. Her first American movie as a producer and an actress was “DAY’S DREAM,” directed by Robert Mack, which she worked on in 2009 in New Mexico, Joshua Tree and Ojai. Still pending to be released. Mack has directed the Haiku WAVES love scene. He has been a closer friend and collaborator. Love has worked as a muse for Mack on her early American years in Hollywood.
